Hi Delaney, this is Jimmy Greenspoon the keyboard player with THREE DOG NIGHT (from the begining to current day, over 38 years-YIKES!) Our paths have crossed many times over the rock map. I have admired your work for a long time. Keep it up, there's not many of "The old school boys" left.
JG.

  Dear Delaney,
It is nice to read about and listen to
music from a fellow Bramlett, especially one so accomplished and appreciated. I've played music for years, so that makes me even more appreciative you talent and success.

My dad bought "To Bonnie From Delaney" when I was a kid and we -- my dad, my sisters, and I -- wore it out. The whole album is a gem, and "God Knows I Love You" is one of the prettiest songs ever. We used to sit in our home in Minneapolis and look at the pictures on the album cover and wonder what your lives were like. The photo portraits of you and Bonnie are classics. They're at once Victorian and Back-To-The-Country. Great stuff. Thanks.

Per Magnusson
pykm@telia.com

  Hi there!
In 1969 Jim Ford recorded the song "A long road ahead" for his debut, and only, album "Harlan County". The song was also recorded by Delaney & Bonnie for the album "Motel shot" in 1971. Is the recording by Ford the first one ever of the song? If, did you write the song for Ford?
On the Lp "On tour with Eric Clapton" -1970, the great song "Poor Elijah - Tribute to Johnson" was written by Delaney Bramlett, Leon Russell & Jim Ford. Was Ford with you on that tour? Are there any more songs cowritten by any of the Bramlette, Russell and Ford?
How did you meet Ford, what happened to him?
All the best.

Great to see your website. I was surprised to not find much Shindig stuff. I played other instruments before, but started playing bass about nine years ago, inspired at the time by "that blonde guy with the precision" on a vhs of the Shindig show. But I never knew who he was! Last year I met James Burton and he told me it was you. Anyway, thanks for the last 9 years! The bass has treated me pretty good. Would love to see more Shindogs stuff.

Cheers, Ed.
